This is an Auckland backyard wedding that was stylish, intimate and unique. Michelle and Jason did their wedding, their way. I just love it when couples do that! Michelle wore a tea length wedding dress. She had a bridesmaid and two bridesmen while Jason has three groomsmen. After the sweetest of ceremonies, the happy couple mixed and mingled with their family and friends before heading to Mexico at Britomart for their reception. I hung out at Britomart with Michelle and Jason for a while and took some super cool, creative stuff like this silhouette shot for them…
I arrived a bit earlier than planned and made the most of the extra time by getting some detail shots and photographing Michelle getting ready with the help of her super lovely bridesmaid. Like a lot of couples these days, Michelle and Jason decided to have their photos with their attendants before their wedding ceremony. This is such a great, practical idea and I totally see why couples choose to do this. We went to a nearby park that I’d sussed out earlier.
As you can see, Michelle’s Mum gave her away. Jason was very emotional and was often wiping the tears from his eyes. It was such a special ceremony with a beautiful, loving vibe.
