Hi there! I’m Mala, an Auckland Wedding Photographer. If you’re reading this, I’m guessing you’re getting married. Congratulations!

Being a wedding photographer is the best thing ever. I get to be there on the biggest and best day of people’s lives. It’s the real and raw stuff I love the most – massive smiles, tears, laughter, man hugs. Capturing the day as it happens, getting the candid moments and doing cool, creative stuff is what it’s all about.

I get to know couples in the lead up to their wedding so when the big day comes along, couples are relaxed and chilled with me around and they feel like they can be themselves. It’s the best way to be when you’re being photographed. This is why people look natural and at ease in my photos.

Giving couples wedding photos that are unique and edgy is right up there for me as a wedding photographer. I like giving couples wedding photos that aren’t like anyone else’s. That’s a huge part of what I do. I’ve been told I have an eye for the unique and unusual. That’s a huge compliment for me.

I know how important your wedding day is and what the photos mean to you. That’s why I put my heart and soul into it. I limit the number of weddings I photograph so I can be at my creative best and give exceptional service. Taking on a limited amount of work means I have space in my mind to be creative and time for my clients.

I live in Auckland, New Zealand. Having permanently itchy feet means going out of town and overseas to shoot weddings suits me. One of my favourite places in New Zealand to photograph weddings is Queenstown. I’ve also shot weddings in Australia, the US and the UK and loved it.
