I’ve been doing Indian wedding photography in Auckland for ten years. And I still flippin’ LOVE it! Pooja and Nayan are the kind of couple I love photographing. They think outside the box and like to do things differently. Since an Indian wedding day is super busy and jam packed with various rituals, ceremonies, blessings and celebrations, Pooja and Nayan were cool with doing their couple shoot a few days before their wedding day. Knowing they were super keen on something different, I spent time looking for a location with a contemporary, edgy vibe and found a very cool black and white wall. You’ll see Pooja and Nayan’s incredible wedding outfits look absolutely striking with the wall behind them. We weren’t far from Cornwall Park so we headed there for the second half of Pooja and Nayan’s photoshoot.
After a lockdown postponement and all of the rebooking, reorganising and rearranging that goes with it, Pooja and Nayan’s Indian wedding day finally went ahead. Gosh! I really feel for couples in these Covid 19 times with lockdowns totally messing up wedding plans. Their big day was worth waiting for.
